Lambda256 Unveiled Luniverse Partnership Program to support blockchain clients
Lambda 256 unveiled the Luniverse Partnership Program today to help and incubate Luniverse partners. The program will begin in January 2020.
Lambda 256 is a subsidiary of Dunamu, the operator of the major Korean cryptocurrency exchange Upbit, and it has launched Luniverse, a blockchain as a service (BaaS) project in May 2019.
Luniverse is a platform that helps general companies easily integrate blockchain technology, currently being used by more than 50 partners.
Luniverse Partnership Program is designed to help clients and partners grow their businesses. Clients can use services and apply for upgrading via partnership program beginning early next month. Upgrading will be registered in Standard, Advanced, Premium and Super Premium levels.
This Program can benefit from the promotion, marketing, business, and technical support. There will be co-marketing opportunities, gas billing and business benefits at Lambda 256 related events. Different offers will be ready according to the registered class.
Luniverse is a next-generation blockchain service platform developed by Lambda 256, the research arm of Upbit’s parent company Dunamu.
PBoC will Control its CBDC via “Controllable Anonymity”
The People’s Bank of China (PBoC), the central bank of China, is expected to unveil its first CBDC, a digital currency of the RMB in the near future, and there is also interest in how the Chinese government will manage and operate it.
When users are using banknotes and coins offline, they can remain anonymous, but when currencies are digitalized, it seems difficult to be away from the Chinese government’s control environment.
For those who prefer cash for privacy reasons, the digital currency can be a burden. The Chinese government wants to replace cash with digital currency, but it can also be used as a tool to monitor how people spend their money if the central government wants to.
Meanwhile, Chinese regulators have focused on the digital RMB, with the word “controllable anonymity,” Meaning protecting the anonymity character of physical cash unless people commit crimes.
Mu Zhang-Chun, who leads the PBoC Digital Money Research Institute, recently attended a conference in Singapore, saying, “I know people want to remain anonymous whenever they spend cash. They will provide the anonymity they require.” He explains that he wants to make a balance controllable anonymity and other illegal behaviors such as laundering equipment, counter-terrorism, tax issues, and online gambling.
He also added, “If the user doesn’t commit any crime while using the currency, we’ll protect your privacy.”
But on the other hand, Experts expressed the concern about the Anonymity is not completely protected even on decentralized blockchain platforms.
In public blockchains like Bitcoin, transaction records, including sender, receiver and quantity, are stored in a block forever. Sender and recipient information are displayed by address, but once this is accumulated and linked to cryptocurrency exchange information, it is not difficult to identify yourself. Because of this, cryptocurrencies such as Zcash and Monero are applying advanced cryptocurrency to hide transaction-related information.
Samsung Partners with QEDIT, to Introduce Zero-Knowledge Proof to NexLedger
According to a Maeilnews Korea on Nov 15th, Samsung SDS signed a partnership with QEDIT, a developer of Israeli personal information protection technology to introduce ZKP (zero-knowledge proofing) solutions in their enterprise blockchain solution ‘Nexledger’.
It has been reported that Samsung SDS and QEDIT have done successful trials before the partnership.
Samsung SDS Nexledger is a blockchain solution that can be applied to various industries such as finance, insurance, manufacturing, public service, and logistics with its wide versatility, and the partnership with QEDIT can enhance its security performance.
QEDIT’s zero-knowledge proof is a critical technology that does not expose any information other than true or false when proving something.
